She completed an evaluation of the Implementation of the World Bank's 2002 Forest Strategy in the context of the new Climate Change Initiatives related to Reduce Deforestation and Degradation for the World Bank's Independent Evaluation Group. Currently she is helping the World Bank's Africa Region in the design of an Africa wide Strategy for the Control of Tuberculosis. As Core Team Member of the Independent External Evaluation of FAO with responsibility for the review of all of FAO's technical activities she led the work of 16 experts as follows: 1. Fishery: Trond Bjorndal, Chairman, Board of Trustees, the World Fish Centre, CGIAR, Visiting professor and director of Centre for the Economics and Management of Aquatic Resources, Department of Economics, Portsmouth University (Britain), ex-President of the International Institute of Fisheries Economics and Trade 1998-2000.
2. Forestry: Hans M. Gregersen, Professor Emeritus, Department of Forest Resources, University of Minnesota, ex-chairman of various panels in Science Council, CGIAR, including the Special Panel on Resource Management, Forestry and Agro forestry, the Standing Panel on Monitoring and Evaluation, and the Standing Panel on Impact Assessment, chaired the External Programme and Management Review of the International Centre for Living Aquatic Resource Management (ICLARM), now the World Fish Center.
3. Policy: Bruce Gardner, Distinguished University Professor, Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics, University of Maryland, ex-Assistant Secretary of Agriculture of the United States under President Bush, 1989-1991, chaired the Fourth External Programme and Management Review Panel of International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI).
4. Livestock: Cornelis de Haan, Retired from World Bank and now consultant to the World Bank on issues related to livestock policy and operations, ex-Deputy Director General of International Livestock Centre for Africa (ILCA) and former member of the board of directors of ILRI.
5. Water and Irrigation: Mohamed Ait KADI, President of the General Council of Agricultural Development, a high level policy think tank of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fishery in Morocco, ex-Director General of the Irrigation Department, ex-Acting Secretary General of the ministry, Member of the board of Trusties of the International Food Policy Research Institute, Member of the Technical Advisory Committee of the Global Water Partnership, former Governor and founding member of the World Water Council and President of the organizing committee of the first World Water Forum held in Marrakech in 1997.
6. Water and Irrigation: Torkil Clausen, Director of the Danish institute DHI Water & Environment, Senior Adviser to United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), Senior Adviser to the Global Water Partnership (GWP), Professor at the Technical University of Denmark, and Chair of the Danish Water Forum, serves on a number of international committees, including the UN Millennium Project Task Force on Water and Sanitation.
7. Nutrition: David Sahn, Director of Cornell Food and Nutrition Policy Program and Professor of Economics at Cornell University, held positions at IFPRI, World Bank, and IMF, consultant and advisor directly to governments of Madagascar, Romania and South Africa, consultant with UNICEF, the World Food Programme, OECD, the Economic Commission for Africa, the African Development Bank and CYMMIT, served on the research Advisory Committee of the African Economic Research Consortium.

13. Statistics: Timothy Marchant, Lead Statistician, Africa Region, World Bank (retired), 1982-89: Director, Longacre Agricultural Development Centre for survey methodology, monitoring and evaluation, 1982-89, FAO Statistical Advisor, serving in East Africa (Nairobi) and India (Delhi), 1976-82.
15. International Agreement and Law: Kees van der Meer: Retired from World Bank and now consultant for the World Bank, former head of Research and Extension Policy at the Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Nature Management of the Netherlands, and earlier Associate Professor for Development Economics and Agricultural Economics at Goningen University, The Netherlands, and in 1975/76 working for FAO in Thailand.
16. Emergency Assistance: Patrick Webb, currently the McFarlane Professor of Public Policy, and Dean for Academic Affairs at the Friedman School, Tufts University, was a senior manager in the UN World Food Programme, on the ground in emergency situations including tsunami response, North Korea, Ethiopia, Angolan refugees, etc.
